The Louisiana Judicial Bypass Project and Jane’s Due Process provide resources for minors who are seeking an abortion but cannot get parental consent. This website will walk you through the process and can connect you to an attorney who will represent you free of charge.
What if I haven’t scheduled an appointment yet?
The National Abortion Federation lists all of the providers they work with on their website. Once you schedule, they may be able to help with some of the cost of your procedure and travel.
You can also use ineedana.com or abortionfinder.org to find clinics and resources for accessing lawful abortion care closest to you.
The Reprocare Healthline ( 833.226.7821) offers anonymous peer-based support, medical info, and referrals for people accessing abortion care. If you’re not ready to speak with someone directly, their website also contains a wealth of information about multiple options.
What if I have questions about my legal rights?
It is still legal for you to travel from any state to access lawful abortion care in states where bans are not in effect. You have options, and LAAF offers support to Southerners accessing lawful abortion care!
If you have any legal questions about abortion, the Repro Legal Helpline (844.868.2812) managed by if/when/how can help you.
